According to a survey conducted by Cube Asia, 85 percent of TikTok Shop users began to reduce their shopping in other marketplaces. Of these, 51 percent of respondents reduced their shopping at Shopee.
45 percent of TikTok Shop customers also bought fewer items on Lazada and other e-commerce platforms. In addition, 38 percent of TikTok Shop users reduced in-person shopping.

The survey involved 1,197 respondents and was conducted in March 2023 in Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
