How to Register Gimme The Mic

Then the selected TikTok users just need to go Live with the Multi-Guest feature on TikTok Live while singing their favorite songs with passion and creativity if the content is selected by the Jury. They can use various sound effects, filters, and other features available on TikTok to make their performance more interesting.

After recording the video, participants can upload it with the hashtag #GimmeTheMic and tag the official TikTok account @gimmethemic. This allows their videos to be seen by judges and other TikTok users around the world. TikTok is committed to providing a fair platform, so every uploaded video will be judged based on clear and objective criteria. After that, the judges will shortlist 20 participants for the elimination round which will be conducted live in Jakarta.

In addition to the opportunity to perform in front of millions of TikTok users, the participants also have the chance to win attractive prizes. The judges, consisting of professionals and experts in the music industry, namely Budi Doremi, Rizky Febian, and Tantri Kotak will choose based on vocal quality, song interpretation, and creativity in making songs.

“You have to be able to sing for sure, but most importantly I want to know how many singers can make their own songs. So explore not only the voice but the song,” Budi Doremi said on Tuesday (11/7) at the Gimme The Mic virtual press conference.

The prizes include the opportunity to record a single with TikTok and SCTV, cash prizes, and international recognition to collaborate with other winners from other countries which can open the door to a successful career in music.
